It's time for basketball: Spurs vs. Timberwolves

The Timberwolves were involved in one of the larger trades of the offseason, trading away Karl-Anthony Towns and receiving Julius Randle and Donte DiVincenzo as part of a three-team trade between the Knicks and Hornets. Minnesota was able to avoid salary cap hell with the trade, but the jury is still out on whether the additions will be enough to get the team back to the conference finals this season. They are 2-2 so far this season, but there is still plenty of time for the team to rally and get back into Western Conference competition.

Spurs picked up an away win against the woeful Jazz, who outplayed the Silver and Black for a half before the good guys took the game by a second-half lead led by Victor Wembanyama. Tonight the Spurs are at home and have a lead over the T-Wolves, who beat the Nuggets last night in Denver. The airport is far from the arena in Denver, so the Spurs want to get off to a quick start tonight, unlike the game against the Jazz where they didn't wake up until the second half.

Match prediction:

Keita Bates-Diop will play 20 minutes and record a double-double in his return to the Frost Bank Center.

A final word:

Go Spurs GOOOOOO!!
