There is a chance of rain and snow across Arizona this weekend

PHOENIX – Our next fall storm moving into Arizona this evening will bring a wintry mix to northern Arizona and a slight chance of isolated showers in the Valley.

We are observing cooler air, breezy winds and the possibility of rain and snow across our state late Saturday into early Monday.

Temperatures here in the valley will drop to as low as 70 degrees on Sunday.

The chance of rain begins this evening and increases through the overnight hours.

Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms are possible Sunday, with up to a tenth of an inch of rain possible in parts of the valley throughout the day.

Across the high country, snow levels will begin at around 9,000 feet Saturday evening before falling to 5,500 feet Sunday morning into Monday morning. Flagstaff could collect an inch or two of snow by early Monday morning.

It will be dry again in time for Election Day, but another storm system will hit our state by the middle of next week.

Stay tuned for updates on this topic as we get closer.
