Kamala Harris will make a cameo on SNL tonight

Saturday Night Live When it comes to the Vice President of the United States, viewers will see a double take tonight.

Kamala Harris will appear on the NBC late-night show on Saturday, Deadline can confirm with campaign sources. During an unscheduled stopover in the Big Apple, the Vice President will join her comedic doppelganger Maya Rudolph live from New York SNLIt's cold, open, I hear.

Harris and Air Force 2 arrived from a rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, and landed at LaGuardia Airport around 4:30 p.m. PT/7:30 p.m. ET, without specifying why the vice president was there. Harris, who left the contested state behind in the final days before this extremely close election, won't be in New York much longer. A revised White House schedule has her leaving the city for Detroit at 9:40 p.m. PT/12:40 p.m. ET.

No word on whether the real Gov. Tim Walz, President Joe Biden, Sen. JD Vance (R-OH), or PastSNL Host Donald Trump will also appear on NBC's Later Nighter, but 30 Rock is full of Secret Service right now, I'm told.

The vice president has long been an avowed fan of Rudolph's Emmy-winning portrayal of her, joining a long tradition of White House residents and hopeful strolls on stage 8H.

There was President Gerald Ford's pre-filmed cameo in 1975, Arizona Sen. John McCain's hosting appearance and subsequent appearances in 2002, and then Illinois Sen. Barack Obama's miss-it appearance in 2007 would. In 2015, both Trump and Hillary Clinton were guests, with the former's appearance as host on Lorne Michaels causing much excitement SNL. Of course, perhaps the most famous or infamous of all SNL Impressions of top politicians was Tina Fey's Sarah Palin. What's more, the then-Alaska governor and GOP vice presidential nominee's performance in the final weeks of 2008 was a meta-masterclass — if it weren't for the sidelong glance Palin and Fey gave each other as they crossed the stage.
