Michigan State football quarterback Aidan Chiles was forced to exit Saturday's game against No. 13 Indiana with an apparent injury.

The Spartans quarterback took a big hit from Hoosiers defensive lineman Mikail Kamara on a second-and-9 in the third quarter of Saturday's game. The goal for Chiles came after an incomplete pass.

Peacock's stream showed Chiles walking back to the locker room with a towel over his head and a Michigan State coach by his side.

Chiles is in his first season as the Spartans' starting quarterback after transferring from Oregon State in the offseason. The 6-foot-3 quarterback entered Saturday's game against Indiana with 1,657 passing yards and seven passing touchdowns while completing 61% of his passes.

He was replaced by Michigan State backup quarterback Tommy Schuster in the third quarter.

Update on Aidan Chiles' injury

The Chileans left Saturday's game against Indiana in the third quarter after taking a heavy hit from Indiana. He left the pitch under his own power and was shown on Peacocks Bach walking to the dressing room with a towel over his head.

Early in the fourth quarter, Peacock's stream showed the Chileans standing on the sidelines chatting with members of Michigan State's training staff. He still wore the towel over his head while he had his throwing hand wrapped in a bag around his waist.
