PSV's Bosz is cautious ahead of Saturday's capital duel: “It's good for Dutch football that Ajax is back”

PSV coach Peter Bosz is looking forward to the clash against Ajax in the 11th round of the Eredivisie. The coach was looking forward to the return match on Saturday afternoon at the Johan Cruijff Arena.

Last season the game in Amsterdam ended 1-1, PSV had previously won 5-2 at home. For Bosz, last season's 1-1 draw was proof that Ajax should never be underestimated. Especially since injuries have hit the reigning Eredivisie champions, with Adama Nagalo, Sergiño Dest, Jerdy Schouten, Joey Veerman and Hirving Lozano all out. He told the press:

“It will be a top game. We noticed that last season. They had a dramatic season unworthy of a top club, but it still ended 1-1. We had a lot of injuries back then, and we also had them on Saturday. Something is coming back to them, you can see it.”

Bosz spoke about a pleasant gap in the games Ajax had played (of course) against Feyenoord at De Klassieker and continued:

“It's nice for once that we didn't have a game in the middle of the week. We were able to train well against Ajax.”

The PSV manager acknowledged Ajax's return to form under Francesco Farioli and discussed the competition the historic capital club offers.

“In my opinion, everyone can lose everything and we can win everything. But I understand that it is good for Dutch football that Ajax is back.”
