West Virginia bowl predictions entering Week 10

West Virginia bowl predictions entering Week 10

It's been an up and down season for the West Virginia Mountaineers so far, but it's been disappointing through the first eight games. The feeling around the program would be very different if they had at least managed to beat Pitt in the Backyard Brawl in September.

A 5-3 mark entering the second week of the bye is much more respectable than a 4-4 mark, but the offense that looks completely flat against Iowa State and Kansas State remains for a team that comes into this with Big 12 title aspirations year has started, inexcusable.

With only four games remaining, the Mountaineers need two wins to become bowl eligible. And believe it or not, they are still mathematically in the running for the Big 12 Conference, but would need to win and get help along the way to clinch a ticket to Dallas.

As crazy as this league is, there's a very good chance someone will go to the conference championship game with two losses. The only problem is that WVU loses the tiebreakers to Iowa State and Kansas State, which means the final month of the season is bound to be pure chaos.

Like every week, it's time to take a look online to see where the Mountaineers are likely to bowl this season.
