Auburn football news: Alex McPherson out vs. Vanderbilt

Auburn football news: Alex McPherson out vs. Vanderbilt

According to the pregame availability report, Auburn kicker Alex McPherson has been left out of Auburn's matchup against Vanderbilt.

McPherson made his season debut last week after missing the first seven games of the season while recovering from a gastrointestinal illness.

He was listed as questionable earlier in the week but was downgraded to doubtful on Friday night. With McPherson out, freshman Towns McGough will likely return to his placekicker duties. McGough is 5 of 10 on field goals this season.

Keionte Scott, who was questionable all week, is a game-time decision. He played exclusively on special teams last week and Hugh Freeze said Scott “tweaked” his ankle on Wednesday before the Kentucky game.
