Coastal Carolina and West Virginia meet Thursday night to kick off the final conference weekend.

POLL PRESENCE
Marshall was ranked sixth in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, making it the top-ranked Sun Belt team. West Virginia fell to seventh place after a tie against James Madison, which is receiving votes in the latest poll. SOUTH CAROLINA'S SUCCESS
The Gamecocks have won their last two conference games to move into third place in the Sun Belt standings. Forwards Ethan Ballek and Harrison Myring have both scored nine goals this season, tied for third-most in the conference. Myring ranks 19th nationally in goals per game at .690 and Ballek ranks 26th at .640. Sergio Ors Navarro is having a career year, surpassing his previous records for goals (12), assists (4) and points (28) with two games remaining in the regular season. Navarro leads the league in goals (12), points (28), shots (52) and shots on goal (25).

Three players have scored a hat trick this season: West Virginia's Sergio Ors Navarro, Georgia Southern's Ryan Holmes and Kentucky's Logan Dorsey. The trio also has the most points in a single game with six points. Navarro and Holmes both have two multi-goal games and are first and second in the conference with 12 and 10 goals, respectively.



Keeping up with KENTUCKY
The Wildcats earned a 5-0 victory over Coastal Carolina last weekend, marking their largest margin of victory since 2022. Logan Dorsey recorded the first hat trick of his career while Casper Mols recorded his first shutout of the season. The Wildcats are fifth in the Sun Belt standings with 11 points, just behind South Carolina and James Madison, who are tied with 12 points.



AFTER-SEASON ADVANTAGE
West Virginia (5-0-2) and Marshall (4-0-3) are the only two undefeated teams in seven conference games and are profiling themselves as the top two teams in the conference with two games remaining in the regular season . The top two teams will receive the advantage of hosting the opening rounds of the Sun Belt Conference tournament. The two will face off in their final regular season game, a sold-out game in Huntington.



RPI
The NCAA's latest RPI rankings list seven Sun Belt programs in the top 100, four of which are in the top 50. West Virginia has the 11th-highest RPI in the country.
