Team news: Gabriel fit for Newcastle game | Team news | News

Mikel Arteta has been given a boost with Gabriel fit to start tonight's Premier League clash at Newcastle United.

The coach has made a single change from the team that faced Liverpool in our final league game last Sunday: William Saliba returns to the center of defense alongside Big Gabi after missing the game against the Reds due to suspension.

That means Ben White will be on the bench and the defender will also be deemed fit to play after suffering a joint problem in midweek which saw him miss Wednesday's 3-0 Carabao Cup win at Preston North End had to be canceled.

From this side, only Saliba, Jurrien Timber, Mikel Merino and Gabriel Martinelli are back from the start.

Eddie Howe, meanwhile, has opted to add Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock to his squad after impressing in the midweek cup win over Chelsea.

The duo were not in the starting line-up in the Magpies' last league game, which included a 2-0 defeat to the Blues six days ago, but have a chance to shine today, while Alexander Isak and Antony Gordon despite being hit problems that need to be addressed can be used without any problems.
