Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty's Heisman campaign continued Friday with 180 total yards and two rushing touchdowns in a 56-24 home win over San Diego State.

Jeanty rushed for 149 yards on 31 carries while adding another 31 yards on two catches.

He got off to a slow start in the first half (15 carries, 37 yards) as San Diego State University piled the penalty box against him. That decision left the Aztecs vulnerable on the back end, and Boise State quarterback Maddux Madsen took advantage with 307 pass yards and four scores (three to Latrell Caples).

Fans pointed out SDSU's decision.

In the second half, Jeanty got rolling, scoring both touchdowns and running for 112 yards. Both came from four meters away and he didn't have to make much of an effort for either of them.

In eight games, Jeanty has rushed for 1,525 yards and 20 touchdowns on 190 carries (8.0 YPC). He also caught 14 passes for 81 yards and an additional score.

And so the Jeanty Heisman hype continues after another fantastic game.

There may not have been any eye-popping numbers in the first half, but it's pretty difficult for any running back to run through a wall. He still had a 180-yard game with two touchdowns for the No. 15 team in the country, which fits right into the College Football Playoff mix.

And at that price, Jeanty can book a flight to New York in December as a Heisman finalist.

This year's race looks great on paper, with Colorado two-way superstar Travis Hunter, Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Oregon signal-caller Dillon Gabriel also in the mix, but Jeanty isn't going anywhere.

Jeanty and the 7-1 Broncos (4-0 Mountain West) now have four regular season games left, starting Saturday at home against Nevada.
