Chris Christie criticizes Mark Cuban for saying “really stupid” things on “The View.”

Chris Christie's unofficial attempt (maybe just in our minds) to get tenure view Co-host continues after the former New Jersey governor made another spicy appearance on the talk show Friday morning.

The 62-year-old caused a stir at the Hot Topics table when he shot it Shark tank Star and business mogul Mark Cuban, after his comments (also on The viewearlier this week) about Donald Trump not surrounding himself with “strong, intelligent women” – all in the presence of co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin, who previously worked under Trump in the White House.

Christie's comments came after panelist Sara Haines asked him about the weight political surrogates were carrying in the final days before Tuesday's presidential election, particularly after President Joe Biden stirred controversy for calling Trump's supporters “trash” and Cuba's “comments about women he made here,” Haines said.

“In the last few days, I think voters who were still undecided wanted to listen to the candidates. I think the surrogates on both sides have had minimal value in recent days. “I don’t think anyone really cares what Lindsey Graham thinks on the Republican side or what Mark Cuban thinks,” Christie responded. “You see, the Cuban always says really stupid stuff. Mark doesn’t think before he speaks.”

Co-host Joy Behar reminded Christie that Cuban — who has also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris' presidential campaign — has “a lot of money” and that “you can't deny the success” of the businessman.

Griffin also jumped in to defend Cuban, who joined earlier this week The view for an interview via digital feed on board his private jet. “He took it back too. It really wasn’t what he meant,” Griffin said. “I spoke to him yesterday. He knows I worked for Trump, he didn't insult me to my face. He talked about (how) Trump will only allow a certain amount of pushback from advisers before he kicks you out. It doesn't mean it wasn't messy.

Cuban issued a statement addressing X view Interview and told his followers, among other things: “When I said that during the interview, I didn't put it exactly the way I thought it would. Therefore, I apologize to anyone who felt offended or upset by my response. As I said, it wasn't about current or former Trump voters. I didn't prepare for every interview.

Still, Christie warned again that “people listen to what you say, and you have to be careful in the final days of a presidential campaign” — especially when the candidates in question are speaking on behalf of candidates vying for votes. As Griffin did earlier this week, Christie then advised that Biden should “probably just stay quiet for the next few days” to avoid damaging Harris' campaign after he drew backlash for his “garbage” comment (and subsequently him clarified).

“First of all, he clarified his comments, but let me be clear: I strongly disagree with any criticism of people based on who they vote for,” Harris responded to Biden's remark. “I believe my work is about representing all people, whether they support me or not.”

Weekly entertainment has reached out to Cuban officials for comment.

The view airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
