Happy Friday! For the first time in almost a month, there's a chance of rain when our next weather report arrives. Plan for a line of showers crossing the DMV from west to east during the morning commute.

The DC Metro may experience showers between 7 and 10 a.m. It's also very warm ahead of this front, with temperatures starting in the high 60s across the region (our average daily high temperature on November 1st is 64 degrees). The sky will clear around midday and temperatures will rise to around 80 degrees.

Skies will be clear tonight and temperatures will be in the upper 60s, affecting your plans for Friday evening. Expect a clear, cooler night with lows in the 40s across much of the DMV.

On Saturday it feels like autumn again on the first weekend in November. Temperatures are in the high 60s and there is plenty of sunshine. Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour before bed.

Daylight saving time is Sunday at 2 a.m., sunrise is 6:39 a.m. and sunset is at 5:05 p.m. After a cold start in the 30s and 40s, high temperatures will climb to the low to mid 60s, which is just right temperatures should be this time of year.

Another wave of milder air will blow in next week, with highs near 80 degrees on Election Day.
