The WTVY family of stations and streams presents live coverage of the Peanut Parade

DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – The WTVY Family of Stations will present live coverage of the National Peanut Festival Parade on Saturday starting at approximately 4 p.m

“Although the parade is scheduled for 3:30 p.m., we anticipate it will take a half hour or more to pass our studios on North Foster Street, where we will be broadcasting from,” said WTVY- Vice President and General Manager Valerie Russell-Clausell.

The parade has a new route this year, a nostalgic one that returns Dothan's signature event to its decades-long route to downtown, taking place six days before the fairgrounds opening rather than on the final Saturday of the festival.

“We are excited that the Peanut Parade will parade past our historic studios as it has for years, and we hope you will wave to our notables as you watch them cover this parade,” Russell-Clausell said.

Anchors include News4's Mia Nelson, Beyla Walker and McKenna Nobles.

WTVY's coverage airs on MeTV, WTVY's 4.2 digital channel, Peachtree TV, which airs on 4.7, and streams on News4+, available via the News4 app and WTVY.com.
