A tornado and tropical storm warning is in effect for Bulloch County

NWS Charleston has issued a tornado warning that includes Bulloch County until 9 p.m. Thursday. A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Bulloch.

The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a tornado warning that will be in effect until 9:00 p.m. Thursday, September 26, 2024. A tropical storm warning remains in effect for Bulloch.

Hurricane Helene is expected to make landfall in the Big Bend area Thursday evening and is expected to bring strong winds, tornadoes, and at times heavy rain to southeastern South Carolina and southeastern Georgia. There is a high risk of tornadoes associated with Helene, with the risk increasing this afternoon and peaking tonight into early Friday morning.
