LeBron and Bronny made history on Tuesday night when they became the first father-son duo to play together in NBA history. The younger James entered the game four minutes into the second quarter and played just over two minutes in the Lakers' season opener. He recorded one rebound while going 0-for-2 from the field.

As for the elder James, he began his 22nd season in the NBA with another solid performance, scoring 16 points on 7-of-16 shooting from the field along with five rebounds, four assists and two blocks. The Lakers earned a big 110-103 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves to start the season 1-0 for the first time since 2016.

LeBron James was understandably grateful for the historic moment after the game.

“That moment when we sat together at the scorer’s table and checked in together, I’ll never forget that,” said LeBron in a joint postgame press conference with Bronny. “No matter how old I get, no matter how much my memory fades as I get older or whatever, I will never forget this moment.”

James also posted a video on his Instagram with the caption: “With all my heart and soul!!! I will never forget this moment for the rest of my life.”

The Lakers continue their season on Friday night against the Phoenix Suns at Crypto.com Arena. It remains to be seen whether Bronny will get more playing time in the future.
