Saturday game between Twins and Orioles now as evening game

Baseball fans may have to change their plans a bit this Saturday as MLB has decided to change the start time of the game between the Minnesota Twins and the Baltimore Orioles.

On Monday, the team announced that it, along with league officials, had decided to move the start time to 6:15 p.m. CT, more than five hours later than originally scheduled, because the game will be broadcast nationally on FOX Sports.

As of the time of this publication, the Orioles and Twins are among eight American League teams still battling for a playoff spot. The Orioles are currently in third place, while the Twins are in seventh place.

The Twins played the Boston Red Sox last weekend, with Boston winning two of the three games. The Twins begin a three-game series at home against the Miami Marlins on Tuesday. The Orioles, meanwhile, are headed to New York City to face the Yankees before traveling to Minnesota.

The gates to Target Field now open at 4 p.m. The first 10,000 fans will receive a Fan Appreciation baseball cap as part of Fan Appreciation Weekend.
