Samantha Irvin recently broke the hearts of many WWE fans when it was announced that she has officially parted ways with the promotion and will no longer appear as a ring announcer on “WWE Raw.” Following the news, Booker T gave his opinion on what may have led to Irvin's departure and what steps she might take next on the latest Hall of Fame podcast.

“That opened my eyes,” Booker said. The veteran then commented on how crazy the wrestling business has become and that it seems like a lot of people are now finding love in the industry, which was rare in his time. “It's not something that happened all the time. (…) On the other hand, if it had happened? We didn't know anything about it.” Booker went on to say that relationships within the company will definitely have an impact on wrestlers' decisions.

However, when it comes to Irvin's skills, Booker pointed out that she did her job well by standing out from other announcers and said that she would probably easily get another gig. “If you’re good at what you do, you don’t have to worry about a check coming in the mail,” he added. Booker further claimed that Ricochet's move to AEW likely caused a “loss of money” in her life, which affected him personally and reminded him of not wanting to be away from Sharmell. “I would have left the company if they hadn't hired Sharmell.” Ricochet has already refuted any notions that Irvin is tied to AEW, meaning her reasons likely lie elsewhere.
