No evacuations are currently expected. The fire department announced that there was a ban on flights.

Emergency crews said they will monitor the rest of the night due to the dangerous terrain and that efforts to extinguish the fire will resume at dawn on Tuesday.

Several fire departments are helping. No homes are believed to be in danger as the fire is approximately 400 to 500 meters from the nearest neighborhood.

The dry weather will lead to an increased risk of bushfires over the coming week. It could take days for the fire to be completely extinguished.
