High temperatures of around 81 degrees are expected in Detroit on Monday, according to the weather service. Monday's weather could match or even surpass the Oct. 21 record of 81 degrees if conditions allow. Tuesday is expected to be slightly cooler, with a high of 77 degrees, just shy of Detroit's record of 81 degrees set on Oct. 22, the weather service said.

Conditions will cool in the Detroit metropolitan area by midweek. According to the agency, a high of around 60 degrees is forecast for Wednesday with partly cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers.
