SMU-Duke kickoff time, TV broadcast announced as Mustangs again in prime time

The SMU Mustangs will face the Duke Blue Devils on Oct. 26 at 7 p.m. CT on the ACC Network, the league announced Monday.

SMU travels to Stanford on Saturday in a 7 p.m. CT matchup on ACC Network. Since ACC play began, the Mustangs have spent a significant amount of time on the ACC Network, which coincides with the whereabouts of the ACC huddle crew.

Rhett Lashlee's Mustangs are 5-1 and are now the No. 21 team in the country according to the AP Top 25. SMU moved up four spots in the AP Poll while moving to 23rd in the USA LBM Coaches Poll. The Mustangs were one of four ACC teams included in both polls, along with Miami, Clemson and Pittsburgh.

SMU is coming off a bye week that came after a 3-0 stretch for the Mustangs that included wins over TCU, Florida State and Louisville. Using the bye week was an opportunity for the offense to continue to develop in the right direction.

“I think we cleared a lot of penalties, we could be better there,” offensive coordinator Casey Woods said last week. “There are certainly things we need to do next. That's the beauty of building a team every year. We have left the small steps behind us, we are no longer able to play the game properly, now we have to do it properly. Then maybe we need to understand how to make the right play in the right way, the reason why we're making it the right way, so that the next time it clicks, the reason is, “I wake up.” this guy's attention so he can execute this route.' Or: “I close this gap because I understand that behind me there is a divided stream coming towards me.”

“I think we're going into detail now: we know who we are, we know who we want to be, we know staff-wise, how we can move this thing forward, how detailed can we be now that we have the “Know the course.” that we are there?”
