Steelers injury report: Alex Highsmith, Damontae Kazee cleared; Montravius Adams questionable

Pittsburgh Steelers outside linebacker Alex Highsmith and safety Damontae Kazee have been cleared to return to action, but Montravius Adams apparently suffered a knee injury on Friday and is questionable whether he will play on Sunday against the New York Jets.

Adams was a surprise addition to the official league-mandated injury report on Friday, receiving a limited participation designation. He, along with rookie receiver Roman Wilson, is one of those on the active roster whose status for “Sunday Night Football” at Acrisure Stadium is in doubt.

Wilson (hamstring injury) was placed on the injury report Thursday and had limited practice that day and Friday.

Highsmith has missed the last three games with a groin injury and Kazee missed last week's win in Las Vegas with an ankle injury. Also returning to action on Sunday is reserve tight end MyCole Pruitt, who has missed the last four games with a knee injury.

As was expected all week, returner/running back Cordarrelle Patterson (ankle), outside linebacker Nick Herbig (hamstring) and center Zach Frazier (ankle) will not play against New York. No one practiced in any capacity this week.

Also listed as out is offensive tackle Dylan Cook, who began practicing this week after starting the season on injured reserve due to a foot injury.
