HIGHLIGHTS: Charles Leclerc takes US GP victory as Ferrari secures a glorious one-two ahead of Max Verstappen

Charles Leclerc's remarkable overtaking maneuvers on the first lap secured him his third win of the season, as his teammate Carlos Sainz joined him on the podium and Max Verstappen finished third after a late battle with Lando Norris.

Ferrari successfully capitalized on the strong pace they had initially shown in practice on Friday and after Leclerc improved from P4 to P1 at Turn 1, he built a dominant lead that lasted for most of the race.

Just behind, a tense duel for the final podium spot ensued in the closing laps, with Norris making several attempts to overtake his championship rival Verstappen as the two were separated by just half a second.

The Brit eventually got the better of his rival in a risky maneuver that saw both go wide at Turn 12, resulting in a five-second penalty for the McLaren driver.

Elsewhere, George Russell made a great comeback after starting from the pit lane and eventually crossing the finish line in P6 ahead of Sergio Perez, Nico Hulkenberg and rookies Liam Lawson and Franco Colapinto.

It was a completely different story for the other half of the Mercedes pit after Lewis Hamilton suffered a slip in the early stages and was forced to retire from a race in which he had always excelled in the past.
