LSU Football vs. Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 8

LSU Football vs. Arkansas Razorbacks in Week 8

No. 8 LSU travels to Fayetteville to face Taylen Green and the Arkansas Razorbacks in the first of back-to-back SEC road games.

Garrett Nussmeier and Co. pulled off an emotional win over Ole Miss in Week 7 after battling back to earn a 29-26 overtime win.

Now the Razorbacks are coming full force and the Bayou Bengals want to carry their momentum into Saturday evening.

Here's what Brian Kelly said about the matchup, pregame updates and a live thread from Saturday night in Fayetteville:

“Tall, physical, can run,” Kelly said of Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green. “Plays with arms and legs. They lead the SEC in third-down conversions. This is a serious offense. Great offensive line. I think they did a great job defensively. Big and physical at the front. Really well designed and fundamentally solid. It will be a big challenge for us and we have to play well away from home.”

– LSU wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. is inactive for Saturday night against the Razorbacks. He remains sidelined with an ankle injury sustained during fall camp and has yet to make his debut in 2024.

– LSU wide receiver CJ Daniels is active for Week 8. The first-year Tiger missed Week 7 against Ole Miss after a knee injury suffered in the past re-aggravated. Now he's back in the game.

– LSU tight end Trey'Dez Green is expected to see more snaps in a slot/receiver role for the Tigers on Saturday. He worked with Kelly and Co. with the receivers to integrate him into the rotation.

– According to The Advocate, LSU safety Jordan Allen did not make the trip to Fayetteville. Allen has been working as a backup defensive back but will not be with the Tigers in Week 8.

– LSU offensive lineman Tyree Adams is out of for Saturday after undergoing surgery for a sports hernia on Wednesday.

– Arkansas quarterback Taylen Green is active against the Bayou Bengals. After suffering a knee injury in Week 6, he was removed from the injury report. He is fully operational.
