New WWE signings spotted ahead of SmackDown debut

Two new WWE signings have been spotted ahead of their expected debut on tonight's Friday Night SmackDown.

The futures of Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin have been the subject of much speculation since they entered free agency in April.

Although it was reported that the team was close to signing a contract with AEW shortly after its departure from TNA Wrestling, no move materialized, paving the way for WWE to reportedly sign both contracts in September.

After several weeks of vignettes teasing their TV debut, we now have possible confirmation that the Motor City Machine Guns will make their debut tonight on SmackDown (October 18).

According to PWInsider, Shelley and Sabin were spotted at the Charlotte airport last night (October 17), just a few hours from where tonight's episode of SmackDown was filmed: Columbia, SC.

Shelley and Sabin are expected to be revealed on tonight's show as the mystery opponents of Los Garza (Berto & Angel), a match set up by Nick Aldis last week on SmackDown.

WrestleTalk will provide further updates on the Motor City Machine Guns and all other SmackDown news as they become available.
