Disney is once again raising prices for Disney Plus, Hulu and ESPN Plus

Disney has increased the prices of its streaming offerings just a year after its last round of price hikes. The Mouse House announced the latest cost increase for most of its streaming plans in August; This change came into effect on Thursday. In September, the company also introduced optional account sharing fees for Disney Plus customers who want to share streaming access with someone outside their household.

Here's how things turn out.

Disney Plus with ads is now $10 (was $8 per month). The ad-free tier has increased by $2 and now costs $16 (was $14 per month). The Duo Basic with Disney Plus and Hulu bundle costs $11 per month. ESPN Plus is getting a $1 monthly increase to $12. The Duo Premium plan remains unchanged at $20 per month. All Hulu subscriptions for the on-demand and live versions of the service have been increased. Standalone Hulu has a monthly price of $10 with ads and $19 for the ad-free version, while the live TV platform is now $83 per month for the basic package and $96 for the premium version costs. The changes are listed in the table below.

Last year, Disney announced a selection of bundle packages to its customers that could be the solution for many subscribers to save. For example, Disney Plus, Hulu, and Max are now bundled together in one epic megabundle that costs $17 per month for the ad-based version and $30 per month for the ad-free version.

Disney also unveiled several new product features for streaming on September 4, including rolling playlists on Disney Plus and access to ABC News Live. Ahead of the 2024 US presidential election, all subscribers will have access to the 24/7 premium news channel for live newscasts, breaking news, live events and in-depth special reports.

Disney's streamers are the latest to see a price increase. Earlier this year, Peacock's costs rose significantly thanks to the streamer's coverage of the 2024 Summer Olympics. Max and Paramount Plus' ad-free plans also saw notable price increases.
