Statement from Gretchen Sween, Robert Roberson's attorney:

“The great team fighting for Robert Roberson – people across Texas, across the country and around the world – is elated tonight that a group of courageous, bipartisan Texas lawmakers have decided to dig deep into the facts of Robert Roberson to immerse himself, which no court had yet taken into account, realized that his life was worth fighting for. He lives to fight another day and hopes his experience can help improve the integrity of our criminal justice system. Thank you to everyone who supported Robert, an innocent man on death row in Texas.”
