Hokies enter as 8.5-point favorites against the Eagles

Kickoff is just around the corner for Virginia Tech and Boston College and there has been a slight shift in betting odds leading up to kickoff. The Hokies opened the week as touchdown favorites and will finish as 8.5-point favorites with a total score of 48.5, according to Fanduel Sportsbook

For those who love college football, tonight's match between Virginia Tech and Boston College on Thursday night is simply special. The Hokies have a history of playing Thursday night games on ESPN, and head coach Brent Pry confirmed this this week:

“Nice to see everyone; it's been a while. I'm delighted to be back at Lane Stadium. It's been almost a month, I think. Thursday night, sellout crowd, ESPN National TV, Orange Effect – there's a lot to be excited about. Great opponent in BC, highly respected head coach, a lot to be excited about. You know, ESPN Thursday Night Football and Virginia Tech went hand in hand, watching the Hokies on Thursday night was one of my favorite things to do. Our boys are excited, our coaches are excited that we sold out every home game this season. It's been a while. It's been a good week of practice as far as schedule and such, but our 37th appearance on ESPN Thursday Night Football speaks volumes. The series is tied three-three heading into Thursday night, so it's a rubber match. We want to get the matter under control.
