Shaquille O'Neal sends a hilarious message from Leonard Fournette to Jerry Jones

The Dallas Cowboys have the talent to succeed, but have had a rocky start to the 2024 season. Dallas is 3-3 after a Week 6 loss to the Detroit Lions. The team can approach its problems in different ways; However, NBA legend and former Los Angeles Lakers center Shaquille O'Neal hit Cowboys owner Jerry Jones with a hilarious but seemingly well-intentioned message from Leonard Fournette.

Fournette has seven years of running back experience, which he spent between the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Buffalo Bills. He is a free agent in 2024 and Shaq has recommended him as an option to the Cowboys in a year comedic pitch to Jones on an episode of “The Big Podcast”:

“Jerry Jones. It's me, your boy, Shaq. Look at (Leonard Fournette), he looks good. Six pack. A** is tight. He is ready to go. All right, Jerry Jones? Stop fooling around, Jerry Jones. My husband is right here…he's still 29, Jerry Jones,” O'Neal began.

“Jerry, this is Shaq, the greatest Cowboys fan of all time. I'm not changing. I've always been a Cowboys fan, with ups and downs. The man is sitting right here, Mr. Jones. Stop messing around and sign my husband in.”

The Lakers legend's pitch to Jones is admirable and funny, but Jones isn't interested in making any major changes early in the season.

“As for the upcoming NFL trade deadline on November 5th, Cowboys Jerry Jones says they won't be active,” NFL insider Dianna Russini reported on X, formerly Twitter. “He also says they won’t be making any changes to the head coach or coordinators. He points out a lot of details that need to be improved in training.”

It's great that Shaquille O'Neal is doing what he can to help his favorite team. However, the Cowboys are the only ones who can turn things around. The team will certainly find its rhythm as the season progresses.
