Storms move through Dallas-Fort Worth early Monday. Will there be more rain this week?

Showers and thunderstorms early Monday will bring cooler weather to North Texas, with highs around 27 degrees.

Some heavy rain could cause minor flooding in parts of Dallas-Fort Worth, but most of the rain is forecast to be out of the Dallas area by midday. Isolated showers may linger into the afternoon.

More rain is expected this week, with the “best chances” coming late Tuesday into early Wednesday and again Friday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.

According to weather service data, DFW International Airport received 1.46 inches of rain between Sept. 1 and Sunday night, about 0.62 inches less than normal.
