Early voting for the November general election begins Tuesday, October 15, in Bulloch County. Check out all the information you need for your plan to VOTE!

Early voting begins on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 and runs until Friday, November 1, 2024 Tuesday November 5, 2024, general election. Make a plan to vote now!

On the ballot

On the local ballot for this election is the U.S. presidential election; U.S. House District 12; State Senate District 4; State House Districts 158, 159 and 160; District Attorney for the Ogeechee Judicial District; Bulloch Attorney General; Bulloch Clerk of the Supreme Court; Bulloch Sheriff; Bulloch Tax Commissioner; Bulloch Surveyor; Bulloch Coroner; Chairman, Bulloch County Commission; Bulloch County Commission Seats 1A, 2A and 2C.

Local races held locally include:

  • Bulloch County Coroner: Chuck Francis (R) vs. Craig R. Tremble (D)
  • Bulloch County Commission Seat 1A: R. Ryan Brannen (R) vs. Ray Edwin Mosley (D)
  • Bulloch County Commission Seat 2C: Nick G. Newkirk (R) vs. Leonard “Len” Fatica (D)

Those living in Statesboro City Council District 1 will also elect one of the following representatives to the City Council:

  • John Grotheer
  • Ken Jackson
  • Tangie Johnson

You will do that in this November general election not asked to choose a party before voting. All candidates appear on the same ballot paper. Only the candidates for whom you are eligible to vote based on the district in which you live will appear your Vote.

The following proposed constitutional amendments will appear on all ballots:

  1. “Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended to authorize the General Assembly to provide by general law a statewide homestead exemption intended to limit the increase in the assessed value of homesteads, but which shall be authorized by each county, each consolidated government, each Municipality, etc. The local school system can opt out after completing certain procedures?” (YES/NO)
  2. Provides for a statewide tax court for Georgia: “Shall the Constitution of Georgia be amended to provide that the tax court of Georgia shall be vested with the judicial power of the State and shall have a venue, judges, and jurisdiction equivalent to those of the superior courts.”? ” (YES NO)

The following statewide referendum question appears on all ballots:

  1. Increases the amount of property tax exemption for tangible personal property from $7,500.00 to $20,000.00: “Do you approve the bill increasing the property tax exemption for all tangible personal property from $7,500.00 to $20,000.00?” (YES/NO)November 5 Sample Ballot (Bulloch County)

Dates and locations for early/early voting

Early voting dates in the Bulloch County North Main Annex are listed below. There are two votes on Saturday Opportunities in this election cycle.

BULLOCH COUNTY NORTH MAIN APPENDIX (113 N. Main St.)

  • Tuesday, October 15th – Friday, November 1st, 2024Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m
  • October 19thSaturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m
  • October 26thSaturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m

There will be some too Two satellite locations are available on specific dates during this early voting period.

  • 22-24 October (Tues., Wed., Thu.) daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Georgia Southern University Russell Union – 85 Georgia Ave.
  • October 28th – November 1st (Monday – Friday) daily from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the GS BIG Entrepreneurship Innovation Incubator (former Plunderosa building) – 64 East Main St.

You can vote at any of these locations during early voting, regardless of your precinct. If you do not cast your ballot at an early voting location by November 1st, you must vote in your precinct on November 5th.


Postal voting

Voters can fill out an application to vote by mail. Once the Board of Elections receives your ballot, they may mail your ballot to the desired address outside of Bulloch County or to the address where you are currently registered to vote in the county (or to an alternate address for physically disabled voters).

The deadline to request a postal vote is OCTOBER 25th. CLICK HERE to request an absentee ballot. You can also request an absentee ballot by contacting the Bulloch County Elections Office at 912-764-6502.


Voting on election day

This will happen at Your constituency on NOVEMBER 5th from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The addresses of all Bulloch polling stations can be found at the end of the sample ballot paper.


Check your voter registration, find the polling place and view the ballot

CLICK HERE to confirm you are registered to vote. You enter your first name, last name, district name and your date of birth. It will then verify that you are an active voter and display the location of your voting precinct.

You can also view your sample ballot on this website. This ballot only includes candidates for whom you are eligible to vote based on the county in which you live.


ID requirements

Georgia law requires registered voters to provide photo identification to vote in person.

What forms of ID are acceptable?


  • Any valid photo ID issued by the state or federal government, including a FREE voter ID card issued by your county registrar's office or the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS).

  • A Georgia driver's license
  • Valid photo identification of an employee of a branch, department, agency or corporation of the United States Government, Georgia or any county, municipality, board, agency or other entity of this state
  • Valid US passport
  • Valid U.S. military photo ID
  • Valid tribal photo ID

Georgia's voter ID card

If you do not have one of the six acceptable photo IDs, the state of Georgia offers a FREE voter ID card. An ID card can be issued free of charge at any registration office or the Department of Driver Services Office. To obtain a voter ID card, the voter must provide:

  • A photo ID or approved non-photo ID document that includes full name and date of birth
  • Certificate of the voter's date of birth
  • Proof that the applicant is a registered voter
  • Documents showing the applicant's name and home address

If you do not have the photo ID listed above, you can still vote using a provisional ballot. You have three days after the election to bring the required photo identification to your county registrar's office so that your provisional ballot can be counted.

If you need to vote in a provisional vote because you do not have one of the photo IDs listed above, you can contact your county's voter registration office, obtain a FREE photo ID, and present it within three days of the election and the provisional ballot will be counted.

If you simply forget your photo ID and time, you can retrieve it, return to the polling station and vote.
