In the final seconds of the Philadelphia Eagles' 20-16 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, head coach Nick Sirianni appeared to have a moment of contention in front of the home crowd at Lincoln Financial Field.

Sirianni was seen on camera gesturing towards fans and pointing to his ear in a mocking manner:

Sirianni later told reporters that he was “just excited” when he was asked about the exchange.

“Just excited,” Sirianni said. “Just excited to get the win.” I'm just excited for the win. Our fans had a few false starts that helped us win this football game.”

Sirianni was the target of loud scorn from fans at the start of Sunday's game. According to Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports, as the Eagles entered halftime with a 10-10 tie against the Browns, a group of fans could be heard chanting “Fire Nick” amid a sea of boos.

Still, a four-point win against a Cleveland team that entered Sunday with a 1-4 record was enough for Sirianni to bounce back in front of the home crowd and improve Philadelphia to 3-2.

Before Sunday's game, Sirianni debuted his new look with a shaved head and said he hopes the team's bye week turns heads.

“I know we did the right things this week to put ourselves in the right position. We're going to continue to tinker with different things to try to get our guys in the right position. We did various exercises. “We had a few different things with the equipment out there,” he said, according to John Clark of NBC Sports. “Because all we care about is that the product we put on the field reflects the things we do here. And our guys worked really hard on it.”

Sirianni's different approach appeared to be paying off for now, and Philadelphia could be in for a strong run as its next three games come against teams with sub-.500 records.

The Eagles will look for their second straight win next Sunday when they visit the New York Giants (2-3) in the NFC East matchup.
