Agatha All Along's Teen Identity Reveal is, unsurprisingly, absolutely epic

Last night's Agatha All Along had the shortest episode yet, but definitely the most impressive. After being chased by the Salem Seven and a trial that included an '80s-style sleepover where Agatha was haunted by her mother and accidentally (?) killed Alice, we got the biggest reveal of the series. We know who Teen is. And we can probably stop calling him teen.

The show did this so cleverly minutes before large reveal that you may have missed it. In the testing room, Teen reads a name from the Ouija board: Nicholas Scratch, the name of Agatha's dead son.

We knew that name, of course, but the meaning here is that the glamor prevented Teen from saying who he was not stop him from telling Nicholas Scratch, which confirms once and for all to Agatha that Teen is not secretly her lost son. So she immediately changed her tone and realized who Teen actually is.

That would be Billy Maximoff, son of Wanda Maximoff, who later becomes Wiccan in the comic book Young Avenger. Although maybe he does Is Wicca, judging by what came next.

Not only is it revealed that Billy is Billy, but that he already secretly has powers and is able to control the surviving witches so that they throw Agatha into a swamp and then throw themselves into the dirt. All three appear to be dead, but… obviously they're not dead. Aubrey Plaza's Rio Vidal, who we all believe is Death, is nowhere to be found at the moment, so maybe she'll save them.

The “already Wiccan” idea is realized when we see Billy wearing his signature headband, although here it's designed to resemble his mother's Scarlet Witch crown. He's strong, he's got the outfit, he's… essentially Wiccan the way he is.

There are many questions about this, namely who knew his identity and when. One weird thing in hindsight is that we saw Billy completely freak out when he was alone with the Salem Seven coming after him, and didn't use magic to defend himself. So did he remember it later? Was this week actually the first moment Agatha noticed? What about the other witches? What about Rio?

But when Billy is Wicca, it leads to another development: What is he doing on The Road? I mean, I think we know. What would the son of a powerful dead witch wish for as his “heart’s desire” when he reaches the end? This entire series builds on Wanda Maximoff's resurrection after her death in the Multiverse of Madness, which would reflect insider reports. Scarlet Witch will return from here and play a big role in the MCU. I don't know what else will happen next.

What happens next is another matter. Billy's secret has been revealed, he has literally attacked the circle, Rio is missing, the seven are on the search, they still have more tests ahead of them. But the show feels like it needs to shift gears now that Agatha kills another member and Billy is attacked. No more holding hands as you skip down the path to one new house after another. Things get wild in the last four episodes.
