“I always talk about processes and results. What I'm talking about is that when we win and lose, we try not to rely on the results of wins and losses. In this situation the results are very disappointing. Our process and the things we have implemented are very important to me. We do as much or more education than anyone else in the country. We have discipline in the form of suspensions and will continue to do so. Some of these will result in suspensions. We had it last year with the Marcus Rosemy situation. We also had to let the boys go because they did this… I don't necessarily think it's right to go out into the town square and publicly shame the kids when that happens. They go through a lot, and these young men who have made mistakes feel a lot of remorse. Our job is to educate and develop these young men.” – Kirby Smart, SEC Media Days (7/16/24)
