Inactive Fantasy Football Week 5: Who's in and who's out?

Inactive Fantasy Football Week 5: Who's in and who's out?

Who should you start with? Who should you sit on? To help you set your fantasy football lineups and avoid using an offensive player who won't be in the lineup, we'll be posting fantasy-related updates and analysis here as NFL teams release their official inactive lists . All rankings cited in this column come from our ESPN Fantasy staff.

Official inactive players on Sunday should arrive approximately 90 minutes before the scheduled kickoff times: approximately 11:30 a.m. ET for early games and 2:30 p.m. ET for late afternoon games.

Update regularly to get the latest information.

4 p.m. ET games

Matt Prater, K, ARI: Knee — Inactive
Impact: Chad Ryland is the last-minute replacement for the Cardinals.

Trey McBride, TE, ARI: ribs – Active
Impact: He will attempt to play but was placed on the injury report on Saturday. It's probably best to play it safe and start someone else.

Tyler Badie, RB, DEN: Back — OUT/IR
Impact: Javonte Williams and Jaleel McLaughlin share the workload in this previously unimpressive backcourt.

Greg Dulcich, TE, DEN: Team decision – Inactive
Impact: Dulcich has been disappointing with just 28 yards rushing this season. Lucas Krull and Adam Trautman will get the TE goals in this game.

Luke Musgrave, TE, GB: Ankle — Active
Impact: He's apparently good enough to go and could eat up Tucker Kraft's target number.

Romeo Doubs, WR, GB: Suspended from the team for one game
Impact: Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks will start after Doubs missed some practices this week and the team felt discipline was needed.

Christian Watson, WR, GB: Ankle — Inactive
Impact: Maybe Malik Heath or Bo Melton could surprise.

Cooper Kupp, WR, LAR: Ankle — OUT OF
Impact: With the Rams receiving their bye in Week 6, Kupp is expected to return in Week 7.

Zamir White, RB, LV: groin area – OUT OF
Impact: Alexander Mattison: There are a million things he didn't do, but just wait and see.

Michael Mayer, TE, LV: Personal – OUT OF
Impact: This message only covers the basics. Brock Bowers has a firm grip on the TE job here.

Davante Adams, WR, LV: Hamstring – OUT OF
Impact: Yes, trade talks are ongoing, but the team says the injury is real. In any case, Tre Tucker and Jakobi Meyers are confirmed to start again.

Tyreik McAllister, WR, LV: shoulder — Inactive
Impact: DJ Turner is the only other healthy WR option in Las Vegas.

Devin Singletary, RB, NYG: groin area – Inactive
Impact: It's a huge downgrade to a timeshare between Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Eric Gray.

Malik Nabers, WR, NYG: concussion — OUT OF
Impact: Wan'Dale Robinson leads an otherwise unimpressive group of WR options.

George Kittle, TE, SF: ribs – Active
Impact: Eric Saubert would step in if Kittle suffered a setback during the competition.

Game on Sunday evening

Brandin Cooks, WR, DAL: Knee — OUT/IR
Impact: Jalen Tolbert and KaVontae Turpin could both end up beneficiaries of Cooks' absence.

Russell Wilson, QB, PIT: Calf — Questionable
Impact: You know the drill. Justin Fields will start. Wilson will be the No. 3 emergency QB.

Cordarrelle Patterson, RB, PIT: Ankle — OUT OF
Impact: Najee Harris is free and clear to make almost all RB contacts.

Jaylen Warren, RB, PIT: Knee — OUT OF
Impact: If you are extremely desperate, Aaron Shampklin may see some snaps.

9:30 a.m. ET game (London)

TJ Hockenson, TE, MIN: Knee — OUT OF
Impact: His return window is now open. Consider week 7 as a likely target date.

Play at 1 p.m. ET

Rasheen Ali, RB, BAL: Neck — Not activated
Impact: However, the rookie has practiced this week and is close to returning from IR. Once he does, he will provide additional support to Derrick Henry. Chris Collier was called up from the practice squad.

Khalil Shakir, WR, BUF: Ankle — OUT OF
Impact: Curtis Samuel is one of the receivers who will see an increase in value.

Ian Thomas, TE, CAR: Calf — OUT OF
Impact: He was “designated for return” this week, giving him three weeks to train with the team in the hope of returning to action.

Nick Chubb, RB, CLE: Knee — OUT OF
Impact: Maybe next week will be the week he returns to the lineup after tearing his ACL last year. Jerome Ford is still the No. 1 RB for now.

Nyheim Hines, RB, CLE: Knee — OUT OF
Impact: Chubb's fellow ACL recoverer also saw his window to return open this week.

Pierre Strong Jr., RB, CLE: Hamstring – Active
Impact: Still, D'Onta Foreman could still be in the Browns' backfield.

David Njoku, TE, CLE: Ankle — Active
Impact: Unless we see him on the field for a full 60 minutes, it's hard to trust him in terms of imagination.

Joe Mixon, RB, HOU: Ankle — OUT OF
Impact: No practice all week puts Cam Akers back in the RB spotlight.

Dameon Pierce, RB, HOU: Hamstring – Inactive
Impact: Dare Ogunbowale takes advantage of his chance to see more action with all these RB injuries.

Robert Woods, WR, HOU: Foot — Active
Impact: Meanwhile, WR Tank Dell (chest) was able to practice all three days this week and should start.

Anthony Richardson, QB, IND: Oblique – Inactive
Impact: The Colts demoted him on Saturday. Veteran Joe Flacco is ready.

Jonathan Taylor, RB, IND: Ankle — OUT OF
Impact: It will be a committee with Trey Sermon and Tyler Goodson in the Colts backfield.

Evan Engram, TE, JAX: Hamstring – Inactive
Impact: Are you surprised? Brenton Strange will start again this week.

Skylar Thompson, QB, MIA: ribs – Inactive
Impact: Tyler Huntley will start, with Tim Boyle (who was waived this week and then re-signed) backing him up.

Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, MIA: Team decision – Inactive
Impact: He is not needed as both Raheem Mostert and De'Von Achane are available to play.

Odell Beckham Jr., WR, MIA: Knee — Active
Impact: Beckham started last week still on the PUP list. His activation on Saturday means he should see some targets today.

KJ Osborn, WR, NE: shoulder — Inactive
Impact: Expect DeMario Douglas and Ja'Lynn Polk to get the bulk of the WR targets.

Kendrick Bourne, WR, NE: Knee — Active
Impact: Bourne was removed from the PUP list on Saturday, suggesting he is ready to play.

Brian Robinson Jr., RB, WAR: Knee — Active
Impact: He will play, as will Austin Ekeler, who has finally been cleared from the league's concussion protocol.

Noah Brown, WR, WAR: groin area – OUT OF
Impact: Luke McCaffrey and Olamide Zaccheaus receive value increases. Jamison Crowder (calf) was placed on IR.
