How to get around the ACL Music Festival

How do I get to the festival?

There are several options for traveling to the festival. You should be dropped off as close to the entrance gates as possible. Parking is limited, so it's best to have a plan for getting there.

  • Drive yourself: If you plan to drive to the festival, be aware that parking is extremely limited and will likely sell out. There is no parking available for festival goers in Zilker Park or surrounding neighborhoods. It's best to reserve a place in advance. LAZ Parking at Barton Oaks Plaza (Buildings 2 and 3), located just off Texas Highway Loop 1, offers parking approximately one mile from the festival for $40 and up. 360 Transportation at 1000 Mopac Circle is one of the closest options and starts at $50 per reserved space. Another practical choice is the Austin High School property, with prices starting at $55.
  • Bicycles and scooters: The best way to get there is by bike or scooter. You can park your bike on Stratford Drive after crossing the MoPac Bridge or on Toomey Road at Vipiteno Street. You can also drop off a MetroBike at Barton Springs Road and Vipiteno Street.
  • Public transportation: ACL Fest offers free shuttles to and from Zilker Park. Shuttles depart from Republic Square at the corner of Fourth and San Antonio Streets and depart at 12 p.m. on Fridays and 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays every weekend. The shuttle will drop you off near the western entrance of the festival, where you will also return after the event for a return trip to Republic Square.
  • Go: You can always use your legs. It's best to get a drop-off or park near the Ann and Roy Butler Trail and walk to the park. Here is a map of the trail that can show you the best routes.

Where can I attend the ACL Fest?

There are two entrances along Barton Springs Road: the west entrance near Andrew Zilker Road and the east entrance near Azie Morton Road. The Lady Bird entrance is located on Stratford Drive, near Loop 1 (MoPac Boulevard). The Azie Morton Road entrance is probably the most crowded.
