The Naylor brothers are hitters for the Cleveland Guardians in the American League Championship Series against the New York Yankees.

Josh Naylor is the Guardians' starting first baseman and Bo Naylor shares catching duties with Austin Hedges.

The Naylor brothers, who are from Mississauga, Canada, will both be in the starting lineup in Game 5 of the ALCS at Progressive Field on Saturday night.

Guardians first baseman Josh Naylor was an MLB All-Star for the first time in 2024

27-year-old Josh Naylor made his first All-Star appearance in Major League Baseball in 2024, finishing the season batting .243 with 137 hits, 31 home runs, 108 RBIs and 84 runs scored in 152 games. He added 27 doubles, stole six bases, walked 58 times and had 105 strikeouts.

Josh Naylor played on the Guardians' playoff teams in 2020, 2022 and 2024.

Bo Naylor teams up with Austin Hedges as the Guardians' top catcher

24-year-old Bo Naylor played in an MLB career-high 123 games this season. He finished the season batting .201 with 71 hits, 13 home runs, 39 RBIs, 39 runs scored, 10 doubles, two triples, six stolen bases, 29 walks and 122 strikeouts.

How did the Guardians acquire Josh Naylor?

The Guardians acquired Josh Naylor in a trade with the San Diego Padres on August 31, 2020. Cleveland also received Gabriel Arias, Joey Cantillo, Austin Hedges, Owen Miller and Cal Quantrill as part of the transaction. Greg Allen, Mike Clevinger and Matt Waldron were sent to San Diego.

The Miami Marlins selected Josh Naylor with the 12th pick in the first round of the 2015 MLB Draft out of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School. The Marlins traded Naylor, Carter Capps, Luis Castillo and Jarred Cosart to the Padres on July 29, 2016 for Andrew Cashner, Tayron Guerrero, Colin Rea and cash.

How did the Guardians acquire Bo Naylor?

The Guardians selected Bo Naylor with the 29th pick in the first round of the 2018 MLB Draft out of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Secondary School. He played at the Double-A level in Akron, winning an Eastern League title there on the way to Cleveland.
