LOS ANGELES – In California, voters have decided Suggestion 3The right to marry should be guaranteed for same-sex and interracial couples, according to a call by The Associated Press.

Colorado voters also approved Amendment Jwhich will lift a ban on same-sex unions, according to the AP.

California Proposition 3 removes existing language in the state constitution that defines marriage as between one man and one woman, which was added as a result Proposal 8 in 2008.

Hawaii voters will decide whether to repeal or not Section 23 the state constitution, which states that the legislature has the power to reserve marriage for same-sex couples.
